Mixed Sims 4 Overrides: Best Default Replacements

Today, we’re showcasing some of our favorite Sims 4 overrides, along with the latest one to hit the Sims community.
Last year, we really enjoyed trying out a variety of overrides that we even got into creating some of our own.
Below you’ll find everything from feet, plumobob, umbrella, homework, and phone wallpaper override options.
Of course, we will be updating this post as new interesting override mods become available.

Latest Overrides – Default Replacements
1. Plumbob Override by JariSimCC
Give your plumbob a subtle redesign with this override, and you can also choose to add a custom ring around the plumbob (one style per occult available).
There are ring designs for mermaids, spellcasters, aliens, vampires, fairies, werewolves, and robots.
2. Default Umbrellas Replacement (Winter Edition) by Mariliuiw
Freshen up your in-game umbrellas with these cozy, seasonal designs. This set has 12 swatches, including solid colors, patterns, and transparent styles.
The umbrellas are available for both your Sim adults and children.
You can also browse the Autumn edition for more swatches.
3. Playground Override by LargeTayterTots
This playground override gives Newcrest’s playground a fresh, natural makeover by changing the bright pink and green neon colors to a warm, wooden look.
And not to worry, the original swatches are still available in case you want to use that playground elsewhere.
The pirate jungle gym also got some gentle tweaks and now has a more neutral look.
4. Teen Homework Override by LUUforYOU
Your Sims’ teenagers can enjoy a much-needed homework glow-up with this teen-focused homework override.
This simple override replaces the default homework notebook with a modern design, which is available in 5 options.

5. Feet Override V1 by JariSimCC
Your Sims’ feet can get a little upgrade with this override, available in versions for both male and female adult Sims.
You can also choose non-default files, which detail the toes and make them slightly more robust.
6. Little Prodigy Child Drawing Override by LUUforYOU
This override gives your young artists the creative glow-up they deserve.
The default child drawings are replaced with updated artwork that shows off different styles and progression, like regular kids learning to draw.
This type of override is ideal for storytelling and realistic saves.
7. Toddler Books Default Replacement by Mariliuiw
Your toddler books can get a fresh new look with these default replacements, featuring updated covers and updated page designs.
There are 13 book swatches, including animals, dinosaurs, alien spaceships, and more.
8. Potions Override by JariSimCC
This override requires the Realm of Magic game pack.
The original potion bottle from Realm of Magic gets a complete overhaul with these new crystal-inspired bottles.
These potion bottles better fit the mystical aesthetic of the game pack and come in 5 swatches.
There are 2 versions available (with and without a bottle cap), depending on your gameplay needs.
9. University Homework Override by LUUforYOU
Similar to the teen homework override at number 4 above, this override is for the university students in your household.
There are 10 notebook swatches available, so you can pick the style that best fits each college student.
10. Soft Pixels Phone Override Set by LUUforYOU
This override set brings a calm, cozy aesthetic to your Sims’ phone with softer tones and more subtle, minimal patterns.
The override replaces the default phone background and icons with a muted, distraction-free style.
