Building relationships is a huge part of real life, and while playing the sims 4.

Relationships don’t grow overnight, whether you’re dealing with new friends, neighbors, romantic partners, or even pets.

Luckily, with the Sims 4 relationship cheats, you can use some easy cheat codes for convenient shortcuts.

Note: You need to enable Cheats for The Sims 4.

To enable cheat codes in-game, you need to open the cheat code box by pressing [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [C] and type in testingcheats on or testingcheats true, then press the [Enter] key.

You can quickly close the command box the same way opened it or by clicking Esc.

These sims 4 relationship cheats work by helping you quickly and easily improve your sims’ relationships with each other.

With relationship cheats, you can increase or decrease your friendship points by any amount you choose, between 1 to 100 or -1 to -100.

So if you wish, you can quickly become best friends with someone or tone down the friendship level by lowering the relationship value.

The basic formula for each cheat (except the last 2 on the list) looks like this;

modifyrelationship [Sim1 First Name] [Sim1 Last Name] [Sim2 First Name] [Sim2 Last Name] [value] [type_of_relationship]

We will give some easy examples further down, but here is a quick cheat sheet of the relationship cheats for your convenience.

Reminder: You can type any value between 1 and 100 and -1 to -100.

I simply used the maximum value for all cheat codes and upcoming examples.

In-Game Relationship Cheats

If you want to improve the friendship level between two sims, ignite a flame between two potential lovers, or build that special bond with your pet, these in-game cheats are for you.

Using the cheat dialog box, use the following expressions to modify your relationships:

To modify the friendship level between two sims, you must use the word LTR_Friendship_Main as the type of relationship of the modifyrelationship command.

For example, if you want John Doe and Jane Doe to be closer friends, then you would type in the following command:

modifyrelationship John Doe Jane Doe 100 LTR_Friendship_Main

If you want the opposite effect, you must type in a negative value to push these two apart, friendship-wise. 

For this, you would type in:

modifyrelationship John Doe Jane Doe -100 LTR_Friendship_Main

If you want to make your sims fall in love, you would use LTR_Romance_Main as the type of relationship. 

So for John and Jane, we would type in:

modifyrelationship John Doe Jane Doe 100 LTR_Romance_Main

If you want to push them apart or tell them that they are on a break, use a negative value:

modifyrelationship John Doe Jane Doe -100 LTR_Romance_Main

Changing the relationship level between a sim and a pet will be the same concept as the last two cheat codes but using the term LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main instead.

So let’s say we want to improve the relationship between Jane Doe and Bear Doe (Bear being the dog); it would look like this:

modifyrelationship Jane Doe Bear Doe 100 LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main

Needless to say, like the last two cheats, you can decrease your relationship with your pet by giving it a negative value. But honestly, who would, though?

How To Divorce In Sims 4

In sims 4, divorcing is as easy as pressing a button.

However, romantic relationships between spouses must be at a low level before you even get the option to divorce.

If the relationship is not at that level yet and you want your marriage to be done, you can use the sims 4 relationships cheat to speed things up.

This is where using a negative value in the modifyrelationship cheat would come in handy.

For this, you would need to type in:

modifyrelationship John Doe Jane Doe -100 LTR_Romance_Main

Once you have lowered the relationship between the two, you can then ask for a divorce.

To file for divorce in Sims 4, start by initiating a conversation with the other spouse, and choose “more choices…” then select the “mean…” category, then; you should have the option to “Ask for Divorce“.

Afterward, it’s all about filing the paperwork by mail or computer, which is the real way of doing this in the game.

Sims 4 Friendship Cheat

Making friends in sims 4 can be difficult, but you can easily make friends with the right cheat. 

The fastest way to make sims friends is to use the friendship cheat.

To do this, just open up the console by pressing [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [C] and type relationships.create_friends_for_sim.

Doing this will create a new sim that is already friends with you.

You can use this cheat for as many sims as you want to add to your circle of friends.

Note: If you have a household with multiple Sims, you must first select the sim you want to get a new friend before using the code.

Friends With Everyone Cheat

Another popular relationship cheats among the sims community is the “know everyone” cheat, which allows players to know every other Sim in their town.

This cheat can be helpful for players who want to make friends with every sim in your world or for players who are trying to find a specific sim and don’t know how to locate them.

To use this cheat, type relationship.introduce_sim_to_all_others, then press the [Enter] key.

Warning: Some users have reported that their game froze or crashed after initiating that cheat, so consider this as a heads-up just in case that happens to you.

The MCCC mod can change many in-game settings in various ways.

Choose the MC Command Center option in the action menu.

A new menu with a list of different controls will pop up.

You can even dive deeper with options such as relationship progression rate, relationship rate of decay, move-in, or even breakup settings like who moves out in case of a breakup.
