But first, you will need to open up the Cheat Console to enable cheats.

There are different ways of doing this, depending on the machine you are using:

  • On your PC, to open the cheat box, press [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [C] on your keyboard

If you want to fill up more than one bar at a time, there’s another cheat code you can use.

The following cheat will not only fill all six need bars at once, but it’ll do it for all the sims within your household. Just type in:

sims.fill_all_commodities

Accessing the command line is slightly different for consoles, but the needs cheat codes stay the same.

To open the cheat box for PS4, you must press [X] + [O].

Alternatively, you can press the four shoulder buttons, on top of your controller, [R1] + [R2] + [L1] + [L2].

To open the cheat box on Xbox One, you must press [A] + [B].

Alternatively, you can press the four shoulder buttons, on top of your controller, [RT] + [RB] + [LT] + [LB].

Then press Confirm Button for consoles to enable cheats.

Other Ways Of Using A Sims 4 Needs Cheats

If you don’t want to type in the command line, there’s another way, using the on-screen menu.

Using On-Screen User Interface (Single Sim)

If you want to fill up all the need bars of a specific sim, hover that person with your cursor, and press the following to pop up the cheat menu:

  • For PC: Press [Shift] + Click on the sim
  • For PS4: Press [X] + [O]
  • For Xbox One: Press [A] + [B]

With the cheat menu opened, select Cheat Need, then Make Happy.

This cheat will not only fill up all six bars but also change the sim’s mood to Happy.

Using On-Screen User Interface (Multiple Sims)

If you want to fulfill all the sims 4 needs of everybody in your household, or even your sims world, you can use the mailbox.

Use the previous instructions to pop up the cheat menu, but instead of hovering over a sim, hover over the mailbox.

With the cheat menu out, select Alter Needs, then choose Fill Needs (Household), or if you want to, Fill Needs (World).

How To Turn Off Sims 4 Needs Decay

If you don’t want to worry about your sims needs dropping all the time, there are a few ways to fix that issue.

There’s a cheat where you can disable needs decay altogether, which means your sims 4 needs will stop gradually declining.

With cheats enabled, open up the cheats menu, choose More Choices, Cheat Need, then Disable Need Decay.

If you change your mind, you can re-enable the decay the same way you disabled it, but instead, choose Enable Need Decay.

Turn Off Decay for Multiple Sims

To disable needs decay for everyone in your household or sims world, do the following:

  • Go to your Mailbox
  • Open up the cheats menu for the mailbox
  • Select Alter Needs
  • Choose Disable Household Needs Decay to affect your household only
  • Choose Disable World Needs Decay to affect every sim in the game

Re-enabling sims 4 needs decay is the same process as disabling it, except we choose to Enable rather than Disable.
